Summary

After graduating from the University of Tsukuba (College of Information Science) in 2002, I joined a Tokyo-based system integrator (~100 employees at the time). I started in Windows infrastructure, working on system design, deployment, and operations for organizations ranging from small teams to enterprises with tens of thousands of users. From 2007, I led technical support and training for internal engineers while directly intervening in technically challenging projects.

I then moved into business development — serving as Deputy General Manager and General Manager in the Marketing and Business Planning divisions. Throughout, I continued to develop technology-driven services and delivered numerous talks at events and seminars. I’ve authored a published book and contributed articles to multiple magazines and web publications. I’ve been a Microsoft MVP award recipient continuously since April 2014.

In 2018, I pivoted back to a pure technical role as a Senior Expert, focusing on community leadership (HCCJP — Hybrid Cloud Community Japan), YouTube-based technical evangelism, and internal cloud platform operations and automation. After roles in the CCoE (Cloud Center of Excellence) and R&D office, I drove cloud technology standardization and solution development.

Since October 2025, I’ve been a Senior Specialist in the newly established AI Transformation Division, leading the planning, design, and implementation of business transformation solutions powered by AI agents (Agentic AI).

My core strengths are deep expertise in Microsoft technologies — from on-premises to cloud to generative AI — combined with exceptional ability to explain complex concepts clearly. I’m also highly skilled in automation through programming and AI agents.

October 2024 – Present — AI Transformation Division

After a period in the Solution Strategy Division, I joined the newly established AI Transformation Division in October 2025. As a Senior Specialist, I lead the planning, design, and implementation of business transformation solutions built on AI agents.

• Developed an internal AI front-end platform combining Copilot Studio and generative AI (TDD, 99.2% test coverage)

October 2022 – September 2024 — CCoE, Service Development, and R&D

From launching the Cloud Center of Excellence (CCoE) through service development and the R&D office, I drove cloud technology standardization and solution development.

April 2018 – September 2022 — Technical Expert

I stepped down from General Manager to Senior Expert to return to a technical track. Across Partner Alliance, Business Incubation, and Corporate Strategy departments, my work stayed consistent: community leadership, technical evangelism, and raising internal engineering capability.

October 2013 – March 2018 — Business Development and Management

After leading System Center business development in the Marketing Division, I served as Deputy General Manager and then General Manager, driving business development including partner alliances.

• Deployed all eight System Center 2012 SP1 components in-house (published as a case study on the Microsoft site)
• Developed a SharePoint Server 2013 cloud hosting service
• Built services based on hands-on System Center operations experience

2007 – June 2013 — Technical Support and Training (Section Manager)

Founded and led the engineer back-support team as Section Manager. Handled 100+ technical inquiries from internal engineers per year on an ongoing basis, and joined troubled projects as a hands-on member. Built an internal engineer training program with 100+ courses in its first year, delivered to 300+ attendees in total.

• Launched a managed client device service for external customers
• Pre-release product testing for a software vendor (including English-language bug reports)
• Cloud migration of a restaurant chain’s portal system (~2,000 users)
• Semi-automated provisioning of SharePoint 2010 environments integrated with ADFS
• Troubleshooting an Exchange Server 2003 to 2010 migration at a financial institution
• Early technical evaluation of Windows Server 2012 and System Center 2012 SP1

2002 – 2007 — Infrastructure Engineer

Worked as a technical team member on a wide range of build projects, from deployments for a handful of users up to 50,000-user systems.

• Financial institutions: Exchange builds, migrations, and post-merger integration (20,000–50,000 users)
• Mobile carrier: Exchange environment build and client rollout (~6,000 users)
• Airline: numerous infrastructure build projects (as build team leader)
• Restaurant chain and travel agency: Windows NT domain consolidation and Active Directory migration (one of them a US-based project)

Hybrid Cloud Community Japan (HCCJP) — Founder and Organizer

Founded in February 2018 and organized by me ever since. Its steering committee spans system integrators, hardware vendors, telecommunications carriers, and Microsoft Japan, enabling cooperation across company boundaries.

• 77 events held as of September 2026, currently monthly and streamed simultaneously to YouTube Live and Teams
• As organizer and MC, I handle agenda planning, speaker coordination, Connpass event pages, streaming setup, and Q&A moderation

Strengths

(1) Over 20 years of consistent technical career — from Microsoft infrastructure to cloud to generative AI

I’ve worked on projects from the very small to the very large, and progressed from engineer to section manager to general manager to technical expert, always keeping technology at the center. Today I work at the frontier of AI-agent-driven automation, practicing it myself and rolling it out inside and outside the company.

(2) The ability to explain technology clearly

I’ve repeatedly adopted new technology early and then conveyed it to internal engineers and customers — from one-on-one conversations to talks for audiences of several hundred. My YouTube technical channel has grown to ~11,800 subscribers and 1.6M+ lifetime views, contributing continuously to the democratization of technology.
